Try Running Quick Fix my program from QuickBooks Tool Hub

  • First of all, close your QuickBooks desktop, then download the QuickBooks Tool Hub on your PC.

  • Head for the Program Problems tab and click on the quick fix my problem option.

  • then try opening your QuickBooks data file.


Try Renaming your entitlement file

  • For Windows XP users

  • Press the start tab and click on run

  • then enter the following path "C: Documents and Settings All Users Application Data intuit Entitlemeny Clientv2". and check for Entitlement Datastore. ecml file.

  • After clicking on the ok tab to end the process the user can rename the Entitlement Datastore. ecml file.


  • For Windows 7 users

  • For windows, 7 users, move to C:ProgramDataIntuitEntitlement Clientv*

  • Next comes renaming the Entitlement file

  • A new file will automatically be created for the user when the user will open QuickBooks

  • In case the user is not able to see the program data folder, follow the steps below to unhide

  • Go to Computer > Select Organize > Select Folder > Search Options

  • then click on the hidden files and folders

  • To check if the process worked, the user has to open QuickBooks and see if the error is fixed or not.
